The Parts of Speech

In language, there are eight important parts of speech, each serving a unique role. These are nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections.

Nouns name things, verbs show actions, and adjectives describe nouns, while adverbs describe actions.

Pronouns replace nouns, making sentences smoother.
